Background

Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, ISOFT Data Systems provides inventory management software within the heavy-duty truck parts arena. Their subscribers have extensive inventories of new, used, and aftermarket truck parts, as well as the responsibility for moving rebuilt engines, transmissions, and drive train components on both a national and international basis.

The ISOFT product suite helps these subscribers minimize training time, improve sales performance, and eliminate wasteful practices.

Challenge

ISOFT partnered with SAV Transportation Group to implement an online solution that enables those subscribers to access the Virtual Shipping Assistant™ within the familiar workflow of their already-existing ITrak Pro Inventory management software.

Aside from being able to access truckload, partial truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers in both the United States and Canada, ITrak Pro users have immediate on-board access to the DHL International Parcel Shipping Option and a Wells Fargo supplemental insurance option

Results

Logistics managers appreciate the program because it helps them synergize shipping between all of their facilities as per the defined corporate routing guides. They can rest easily in knowing that none of their vendors will ever mark up their freight.

Sales and parts professionals appreciate the program because they can get real-time shipping quotes while they are on the sales call and do so in less than ten seconds. In the event the sale is made, they can immediately tender the shipment without ever leaving the workflow.

Shipping/warehouse managers get smart shipping alerts though SAV’s Constant Contact™ process. They are no longer burdened with dozens of daily requests for rate quotes from their sales associates.
