Fleet Failures highest in 3 years

During the 4th quarter of 2013 fleet failures were the highest in 3 years. A total of 335 fleets with just under 8000 trucks failed during the period and over the year of 2013 just under 22,000 trucks left the road. Cost and regulatory pressures took their toll even though freight demand increased. Typically failures spike when drops. If capacity and demand trends continue pricing for truckload may see increases in the neighborhood of 6-8%.
